Marcy's well past the first set of questions, which is why she went straight to what she wanted/needed to know. If someone less experienced had asked the question, I might have answered with "why would you want to do that?" Coming from Marcy, I knew exactly why, and although I abhor auditors that live and die by their checklists and policies, I also know what it is like to just have to live with them. If your management chain, all the way to the top, isn't willing to fight stupidity, the poor technicians have no option but to bend with the wind.
