As an application developer, I work on project migrating z/OS to
AIX/Linux(DL585) and now migrating COBOL to AB Inito.
Try to get (z /VM or z/OS) running on H seems to be waste of
resource and time for those talented people...
take up running to train for NYC marathon is more productive. Or

I remember when me and my boss try to get linux on VM we have to
migrate those application on our own time.
The application developer prefer to run there application on UNIX ,
what is VM.. UNIX cost less.

Older Hardware. The s390 port only runs on the newest generation of
hardware. Very few sites have this hardware. The i370 port supports an
older instruction set, and thus opens the door to owners of older systems.
