Hi Gary,

I don't have a system with zFCP right now to test this, but I think the path
should be :

/sys/bus/ccw/drivers/*zfcp*/0.0.0401/0x500507630f5bbf0a/unit_remove

instead of

/sys/bus/ccw/drivers/0.0.0401/0x500507630f5bbf0a/unit_remove

Also, you can try to put the unit offline before removing it by typing
something like :
echo 0 > /sys/bus/ccw/drivers/zfcp/0.0.0401/0x500507630f5bbf0a/online
