Ray, Display the Novell patches again; examine both of the patches labeled "26 Aug 2009 - mkinitrd s390x":
one of them supplies mkinitrd-1.2-106.86.3.s390x.rpm (80.9KB) [download and install that one] The other supplies mkinitrd-debuginfo-1.2-106.86.3.s390x.rpm (45KB) [ the one you tried to install. It's an optional rpm used for debugging, you can omit it, that's all I know] I don't know why your rpm -Fvh command seems to run silently. Whenever I install rpms I see progress and/or error messages. Good luck, I hope it solves the problem. ________________________________________ From: Linux on 390 Port [[email protected]] On Behalf Of <Raymond> <Cabanlit> [[email protected]] Sent: Monday, February 01, 2010 3:22 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: SLES10 - relocating multipath bindings file I was able to find the path from the recent link you provided. Thanks. Patch was downloaded and I applied the rpm, but after I issued the rpm command, there were no messages to indicate if it failed or if applied. I still see the old mkinitrd file.
