The files in /sys/devices/system/cpu are numbered starting at 0. So if you have
defined CPU 0, 1, and 2 then /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu2 would be the one for
the 3rd CPU wouldn't it?

2) insert "possible_cpus=4" on zipl.conf
     run mkinitrd
     run zipl

reboot

3) on 3270 terminal of this machine i set:

   #cp define cpu 02 ( i alredy 2 cpus)
   #cp begin cpu 02

4) log on linux, and try insert:
echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online (cpu3 is present )

but, i got the error:

# echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu3/online
