"Reliable HA is hard and a lot of work to get right. That's why products like IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for Multiplatform exist.
Alan Altmark" Yes Alan it's hard allright. The problem we have is MQM:s queues and logs that should be placed on a separate NFS disk, that is the requirement to solve the case with two MQ-servers in paralell needed for 100% uptime (making it easier getting a maintwindow for us). And then we still have this NFS single-point-of-failure-server :( The 'live relocation' function in next z/VM for running zLinux servers will fix the maint window problem (this customer needs 100% uptime due to global) But until when we need some other solution. I will check if we possibly already have that Tivoli product installed somewhere ;) Can it solve this problem ?
