Did you reformat the disks at the "DASD Management" screen? I'm guessing not. Try the install again making sure you activate and format all disks that will need to become PVs. Also, in the "Add Partition on <dasd>" screen, heed the statement in the Cookbook: "The disk /dev/dasdb1 will be used in a logical volume. Select "Do not format partition" and "Do not mount partition". I believe this will prevent the 4010 error. Hope this helps.
