Hi all, and thank's for all advices. Besides the always potential java problems, this case was a not so good configured testtool. The so called 'request shooter' was not configured optimal. The result is still about 500 req/second via loadbalancer despite two servers, but all requests within half a second instead of about one second. Now the customer is satisfied. Still, it is annoying not to get over 500 req/second. The total number of reqs/second has a theoretical max of around 1400/second. To big difference for our brains to stop background process this :)
