That makes sense.

One more question. Is it possible to have your current non-NPIV
configuration setup and enable NPIV, then migrate servers over to npiv
zoning. Or do we turn it on and re-zone all our servers.

I would like to enable it, test it. Once tested, start moving servers
over to npiv.

Does that make sense?

Thanks
Scott

Most sites I talk to are using NPIV. That's the only way to effectively
manage SAN security where you have more virtual servers connecting to
the SAN than you have zFCP ports.
