More info on this ... It is looking like some flaky FCP disks: 0) Before the error I reported, I had gotten further: I laid out the file systems(including 4 FCP LUNs LVM'd together) and the RPMs installed. When the system tried to reboot from disk it died with hundreds of "unknown uuids" for the LUNs. I started over ...
1) Then I got the error I reported. Forget the theory about the other SSI member - it subsequently got past that on the other member (glad it's not z/VM 6.2). I started over ... 2) Then I could load some of the LUNs on the "configure zFCP disks" panel. I started over. 3) Then I got yet another error showing the usage for /sbin/zfcp_san_disc when trying to add LUNs on the same panel. I'll go back to the "hardware guys" and be sure we have everything wired up right (I'm tired of starting over :)).
