Does zLinux support non-IBM disk array storage?

The background:
We're currently running a Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) server 5.5 on zOS,
and have found out that TSM 5.5 is the last version on zOS. IBM does not
plan to support TSM v6 on zOS.
So we need to move our TSM server. IBM has a migration path for TSM v5.5
to TSM v6 onto either a system running AIX or zLinux.
Since we run zLinux, we're going with the zLinux option.
To decrease the storage cost and help with out disaster recovery, we are
looking at moving the TSM storage pools to a non-zSeries storage medium.

We are looking at a disk storage array direct connected via an OSA card.
Does anyone know if zLinux can utilize disk arrays in this manner?

Thank you in advance,
