I haven't been following this thread; but if it's software for Linux for System z, Linux for System z can be run under the Hercules emulator under Linux on Intel hardware. Unfortunately, z/VM (and all other licensed IBM operating systems) cannot -- not legally anyway. I wish IBM would offer a "personal use" license for z/VM at a reasonable cost for the Hercules emulator.
