Hello,

I am trying to install Fedora18-S390X with Hercules-390 v 3.08 on Mac OS X
Mountain Lion (10.8.3).
I was having the issue with standard Hercules 3.07 so I downloaded source and
compiled v 3.08.

I set up the reader 00C to read in the initial IPL files.
It seems that my LCS set-up never managed to connect because I am unable to
ping
the IP address of the LCS: 192.168.202.1

In hercule config file, my LCS is defined as:

  0600.2  LCS  -n /dev/tun2  -o fedora18.lcsoat

My OAT is as follows:
**********************************************************
* Dev Mode Port Entry Specific info
**********************************************************
 0600   IP     00      PRI     192.168.202.1

HWADD  00  02:00:02:00:02:00
ROUTE  00  192.168.202.1 255.255.255.0

The parm file: generic.prm contents is as follows:

rd.znet=lcs,0.0.0600,0.0.0601,portno=0
ip=192.168.202.1::192.168.202.2:24:fedora18.beaulieumichel.com:eth0:none
root=live:http://192.168.202.2/~michel/fedora18live/images/install.img
repo=http://192.168.202.2/~michel/fedora18live/
ro ramdisk_size=50030 cio_ignore=all,!0.0.0009 vac
rd.dasd=0.0.0200
nameserver=10.20.30.40

I welcome any suggestions to get Hercules-390 LCS to work for Fedora 18 s390x.

Thanks!

Michel Beaulieu
