Morning,

<newbie>

I don't have much experience with linux, and I haven't had to work with this
server in quite a while.

SuSE Linux 11 SP 1 running in an LPAR (yes, an LPAR, no z/VM). I am receiving
the following messages on the HMC Integrated Console (I also see them in
/var/log/messages:

Sep 9 11:25:44 galileo smbd[7579]: [2013/09/09 11:25:44, 0]
lib/util_sock.c:1498(get_peer_addr_internal)
Sep 9 11:25:44 galileo smbd[7579]: getpeername failed. Error was Transport
endpoint is not connected

I think I know the endpoint it's complaining about - my PC. But I can't figure
out how to verify that.

Also, I can't map a new network drive to the linux server. I think if I could
map another drive to the 'proper' directory, it would fix this issue. I have
one network drive mapped successfully, to my /home directory, and it works.

I should have a second drive mapped to /usr/share/doc/manual directory, but
when I try to make the connection, Windows complains. It says one of three
things: the server doesn't exist, the server exists but it can't access the
directory, or the server exists but I misspelled something. This is Win/7 Pro
64-bit, if that matters.

Advice? Suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave
