Good morning list,
Does anyone have any quick advice? We are in Minnesota and have just switched to Daylight Savings. Someone IPL'd ZVM differently yesterday than on past IPL's. (TOD clock question answered yes). Now we are seeing the correct time in CMS in zVM (I think) but Linux is not showing daylight savings. ZVM query timezone Zone Direction Offset Status UTC ---- 00.00.00 Inactive GMT ---- 00.00.00 Inactive EDT West 04.00.00 Inactive EST West 05.00.00 Inactive CDT West 05.00.00 Active CST West 06.00.00 Inactive MDT West 06.00.00 Inactive MST West 07.00.00 Inactive PDT West 07.00.00 Inactive PST West 08.00.00 Inactive Ready; T=0.01/0.01 07:05:22 <-- This is correct. zLinux # date Mon Nov 4 06:05:35 CST 2013 <-- So CST is the issue. I verified that /etc/timezone is set to the same as /usr/share/zoneinfo/America/Chicago. Our TZ environmental variable is not set. Any advice?
