We have a kernel driver that hooks into the Linux bridge and filters layer 2 frames based on rules. We got it working on Xen, VMware and inside z/VM (Linux bridging between vswitches). The OSA problem caught us by surprise (namely the fact that OSA behaves differently than a vswitch otherwise we would have discovered this sooner).
