First thing is does your DASD subsystem support HyperPAV? You will not get very far if the DASD subsystem does not have that feature defined. Second the IOGEN must be setup to allow for BASE and ALIAS devices. After all of that is in place you can then worry about the z/VM and zLinux definitions.
