I am following the Virt Cook book and having problems at section 7.8.2 'Format
the LNXMAINT Minidisks'.
I added LNXMAINT to user direct
USER LNXMAINT LNXMAINT 512M 512M BEG
INCLUDE TCPCMSU
LINK TCPMAINT 592 592 RR
MDISK 191 3390 0001 0020 LN2C17 MR READ WRITE MULTIPLE
MDISK 192 3390 0021 0980 LN2C17 MR READ WRITE MULTIPLE
Activate the new user direct
Sign onto LNXMAINT then having problems with the format process. I do (att xxx
* 191) Start the format, the format process formats the entire disk not just
the first 20 cyl of 191.
Is this because of the way I am doing the attach? Or something?

Subject: Re: RHEL Install zvm
Matt,
The Virtualization Cookbook has always recommended NFS as the install
protocol. So if you want to follow that as closely as possible, I'd
recommend z/OS NFS over Windows SFTP. I have never installed a zLinux from
a z/OS NFS server, but I can't think of a reason why it wouldn't work.
You'd want the mount to be in binary so there is no attempt at ASCII-EBCDIC
translation, but I believe that's the default.
Hope this helps.
