first make sure you have enough empty spool space to contain the entire guest's memory. IE for a 1 GB guest have 1 GB of spool available.
then from the broken guest's console : #CP VMDUMP While you wait for that to run, read: http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/dw/linux390/docu/l26edt00.pdf Pay attention to the parts about kdump, since you want to get that working for next time. It is waaaaay faster than the VMDUMP command. Once the dump is complete, reboot the Linux system, and then use the linux vmur command to pull the dump from the 0.0.000c reader device , use the --convert option, and send the resulting file to SUSE.
