About fifty session slots have been locked in, only three remain open.  Will
one of those three be yours?

The 2016 VM Workshop Call for Papers is still open.  Only 3 session slots
remain.

The 2016 VM Workshop will be held Thursday-Saturday June 23-25, 2016 at Rutgers
University, Busch Campus Center. 604 Bartholomew Rd, Piscataway Township, NJ
08854.  See: Site map
This year’s VM Workshop is the sixth since being reanimated at Ohio State
University in 2011.

One of the most valuable parts of the VM Workshops are the sessions given in
small, less formal settings with direct access to the speakers each evening.
Those speakers are just like you!   They have learned their skills with the
help of others, and are simply paying it forward – to help their fellow I.T.
friends.

Have you done something unique at your shop?  Perhaps you have an interesting
piece of code, integrated your z/VM, z/VSE and/or zLinux with other systems?
Are you willing to talk about these?

As an incentive to encourage additional first-time VM Workshop speakers, we
will mail a $50 check to you within 4-6 weeks after the workshop.
“The Fine print”, that is:  1 (ONE) $50 check per first-time VM Workshop
speaker, if there is more one first-time VM Workshop speaker at the same
session, work it out amongst yourselves.  Also, after your first speaking
session at the VM Workshop, you are no longer a VM Workshop first-time speaker.
 I.e. no double-dipping - we’re an all-volunteer educational non-profit
composed people just like you, with limited funds, but with lots of
encouragement for your participation!    ;-)

If you need help brushing up your presentation we have volunteers who can help
--  just ask!

Those not speaking are welcome to submit your own ideas for sessions, we’ll
post them in reminder posts every few weeks to inspire potential new
contributors.  Be one yourself!   Current session proposals can be found at:
Proposed Sessions
Note: the fact that a paper is listed on that page means that it has been
proposed, not necessarily accepted – that occurs later, when some might be
whittled out if we have more proposals than session slots.

So submit your paper idea today (or very soon) by clicking here:  Submit a
Session
