Forensic evidence, eh? From watching far too many CSI, House, etc. episodes, I expect that the server died of exanguination, and also showing evidence of a fractured hyoid bone and petechial hemorrhaging also died from strangulation. Next time, if it ever happens again, you might want to preserve the system state and use other DASD for cloning a replacement.
