Frank's requirement was a bit sparse. I assumed he wanted a Linux app to be able to talk to a home-grown, non-IP, CMS-based server. But if you want to talk to an existing non-IP CMS server that uses things like the SMSG command, you can do that, too, with AF_IUCV and *MSG. What other comms are you thinking of?
