I just ran a quick test, without a parmfile, and I was able to get a HiperSocket interface defined, so the installer supports it. I see one thing that might be contributing to your problem. Your "q nic" command shows Adapter 0E00.P00 But your parmfile has PortNo=1 Aside from that, you have a number of obsolete values that you can clean out of your parmfiles: init=/linuxrc OsaMedium=eth ramdisk_size=96000 root=/dev/ram1 ro Removing these won't fix your problem, but it will reduce some of the clutter.
