Hi Elisabeth, some weeks ago a wrote a bog entry about Canonical's charmed distribution of Kuberneters (means kubernetes that is deployed with the help of Juju Charms) on s390x: https://ubuntu-on-big-iron.blogspot.com/2019/08/deploy-cdk-on-ubuntu-s390x.html?view=sidebar
That version (1.15) was using containerd for the runtime. In between a nwer version (1.16) got released that comes with support for kata. https://ubuntu.com/blog/kubernetes-1-16-available-from-canonical (I also have an old Ubuntu on Z and kubernetes chart deck, but I reaaally need to spent some time to get it updated ....)
