It's quite a long time ago we had DB2 Connect, but the startup of DB2 connect was included in the regular Linux SYSV init startup. I guess the scripts came with DB2 connect. I don't know if current versions are adjusted to SystemD. But in any case, you need to include it in the regular startup. Also SYSV init scripts can be included in SystemD.
