I could swear I had pointed this out in an earlier message, but
I can't seem to find any evidence that it was ever send.

PC Xview 2.X did run on a 286, in 640K of memory if you can believe it.
I'm unsure of whether it used protected mode, or just the real mode
286 instructions.  I'm going to try in on a V20 or V30 machine just
for kicks, and see if it runs there.
