In the limit you could augment the Ethernet connection with a video cable
to a video board on the real server and run only the mouse and keyboard
traffic over the LAN. :-)

NCSA telnet has a Tek emulator built in so vector graphics is feasible.
But I think given the CPU power of these things, bitmap graphics is
going to disappoint people spoiled by fast hardware.

Not that I wish to be negative, I have been on the lookout
for applications for old XTs and ATs for a while, and text mode
terminals, even multiple sessions, are indeed perfectly feasible and
usable, and you can find some of the links I have collected here:
