Actually, there's a reason for some coming as 16-bit. That is simply because they're capable of using IRQ > 7, or other extensions like that. They still only use the 8-bit data bus though. I proved this when I put a 1mb trident card into my XT. The XT got it into 640x480x256, and was capable of detecting/checking the full video memory. Davey
