Y'all obviously need some educating! Vi is an incredibly powerful editor
(note that I did *not* say word processor.) It also does the basic things
you need from a word processor (word wrap, line fill, etc.) If you need
scads of fonts, etc. you probably want to look elsewhere ('till troff gets
ported ;) ) On the other paw, its rare indeed that I find myself needing
more than a method of entering a lot of plain text rapidly -- and once you
learn it, vi excels at that.
Hey, you could also port emacs ( :) :) :P ) the editor that IS an operating
system...
