Maybe, or maybe not. Someone on linux-kernel wrote that the G200
framebuffer support might be buggy, and that looks suspiciously like
my problem.

I have the driver enabled, but there was no disk connected to the
controller when the machine froze. I am suspecting scsi, though,
because my box sometimes locks up during heavy scsi disk activity. But 
my guess is probably as wild as yours.

Then, AFAIR, I had a similar crash with 2.2.13 *without* Andre
Hedrick's patch. But don't quote me on that one.

Well, my box occasionally locks up, but I have never seen an
oops. Either there are none, or they don't have time to make it to the 
logs.

I will try it, thanks. My cpus are not overclocked, though.
