I've been noticing this too. Since 2.3.39 whenever there's heavy disk
activity my box sometimes locks ups. It locks up almost like clockwork
when doing large transfers between hda and hdb. In syslog I tend to see
something like "hdb: lost interrupt" just before the box locks up. I was
just shrugging this off as my disks beginning to fail me (they're a couple
years old). Maybe there's another explanation?
