You need a reasonably recent kernel to get more than 8G detected. If
you're at 2.2.14, try 2.2.15preX. Andries found another oversight that
might cause your drive to be misdetected as 8G even if it is trying to
tell the system that it's an 20G.
You could also play with the "translation" settings. So change it from
"large" to "LBA" or the other way around. One of those is bound to
work (if you have a kernel that is more recent than half a year old).
