By booting from the SuSE bootdisk, I sam that the memory size reporting
is ok now.

My DJNA 25 GB disk shows up as 24405/64/32 instead of 3111/255/63.
With this, the boot routines can access only the first 2 GB instead
of the first 8 GB.
If you have the chance to place your boot kernel image into the first
2 GB of your disk, LILO will be able to re-lilo. ;-))

I'm sure they will notice the weird BIOS mapping as a bug.

It had no chance to "improve" stabitity here. ;-)
I have about 15 BP6 boards running, all have 2 * 366 overclocked with
99 ... 104 MHz. All have run stable all the time, with exception of
the one BIOS version from the last december days which was known to
give Linux kernel panic.
