If you have both CPU's in during install the default kernel will be
SMP-enabled. (labelled: linux). It also installes a single cpu kernel
(labelled: linux-up).
What is the error message you are getting? And precisely where are you
getting it in the boot sequence?
It might be a bios problem. Identify what bios you are using by checking
the last 2 letters of the bios version on the bios screen on the bottom
left. I would suggest upgrading to the new QQ bios.

Subject: [LINUX-ABIT] Autoreboot problem
After installing RedHat 6.1, Workstation or server, my computer kicks out
about a page of info after the Lilo prompt and then reboots immediately
after the hda and hdc output lines. I am running dual 500MHz
celerons. Does anyone have a solution for this?
If I type linux-up at the lilo prompt, the machine comes up just fine.
Thanks,
-Ray
