there was a howto written about what you have to do to 'convert' from a std
install to upgrading to to udma66 with the hpt66. you have to edit the
fstab, and rerun lilo as i recall
(i am a pragmatist and havn;t yet upgraded)

Yeah, my point was how to swap your root disk from the "normal" IDE
controller to the HPT366 since the harddisk device names change and you end
up with wrong (old) names in /etc/fstab as far as I know. There might be a
howto about the procedure anyway. I wonder if lilo will work without
re-running it either?
