I've had some trouble with that, I wouldn't have had that trouble if I'd made myself a 
nice root floppy :-(.
After swapping your root disk will probably be hde...

Nah... just make a nice root floppy and it will be a peaceof cake (=boot, mount 
hd[e-h], chroot, change /etc/lilo.conf + /etc/fstab, run lilo, reboot)
