Actually, I was in the position a little while ago where I was getting multiple
crashes every day.. hard lockups. Taking some suggestions from this list, I
moved to the 2.2.16 kernel, and I haven't had a single problem yet. The kernel
I'm using now is a RPM for RedHat 6.2 (available from redhat's updates dir on
their ftp site). I haven't yet tried compiling one myself, it's working and I
don't want it to break again ;-) However, I'd assume it would work. I've also
heard reports of the latest test kernel's working - 2.4.0-test1-ac12 and
2.4.0-test2 have had some good reports.

I'm running Redhat 6.2, the final QQ BIOS rev, I have version 1.0 of the BP6
board, Matrox G400 MAX, SBlive, and various other oddities. I think it's been
about a month since I installed that new kernel - and it's been the same amount
of time since my system crashed.

On another unrelated note - I found that BIOS setting to turn on the machine
after a powerfail... but I can't for the life of me find that JP1 jumper. Would
anybody be willing to tell me the approximate location of this guy? I'd
appreciate it :-) Thanks,
  -Eric
