Ah! I (naiveley) thought it was a downgrade because of 3 -> 2.  But since
this refers to timing, you're right.

If it is an upgrade, then I don't understand what is going on.  But is is
a fact that this change improved things noticeably for me (keeping everything
else the same, including my usage pattern).  Maybe there's a bug in the BIOS
that switches meaning for CAS 2 / 3? ;-)
