I have looked into this siutations and have discovered that you facts as you
hace presented them appear to be distorted. It might be becuase of a fuzzy
memory on your part or you could had distorted the details on purpose.
Either way, here they are the true facts.
As you had stated, you did a number of times narrow the focus of the
newsgroups that the thread would be crossposted into. You were talking with
both Aaron Kulkis and petilon. In every case but one your narrowing of the
focus ended that branch of the thread with you getting the last word. Often
that last word was an undefendable position or a cheap shot, which you were.
Did you ever notify the other participants in those breanchas of the thread
that you were taking it out of the comp.os.linux.advocacy newsgroups? Or
did you hope that you could look clever to those who read the thread from
the Windows groups and those you were responding to would not have a chance
to respond if they don't read the Windows groups?
As I said, that ONE branch you narrowed the focus of was reexpanded, that
expandsion was not done by Aaron or petilon, it was done by Erik Funkenbusch
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
The only other case of a thread be expanded on you is this very thread. You
started this discussion in comp.os.ms-windows.advocacy and it was expanded
by [EMAIL PROTECTED] to include comp.os.linux.advocacy. So, in COLA,
fkddan's posting was the first of the thread available there. In COLA, it
is clear that Nathaniel Jay Lee, Mikey, and myself were posting follow ups
to fkddan's posting. But for some reason, fkddan's post never appeard in
COMA or it did and was canceled. So to some readers of the thread in COMA
it could look like Nathaniel, Mikey, and mjcr, all expanded the focus of
this thread to include COLA, but that is not the case at all.
I have found not evidence for any of your posts other than these two cases
being expanded to include more newsgroups than you had intended to be
included. What is more the two people you have already implicated,
indirectly, are innocent of what you are claiming. Unless there have been a
flood of canceled post, you have misdirected the blame and exaggerated the
situation.

Everyone paying the same dollar amount would require the gov to
drastically raise the taxes just to get the same amount of revenue it
gets now. That would decimate the lower income people while giving
the rich a free ride. That realization is what chilled the idea of a
flat tax.
As for the lower income using more public resources, that's
bullshit. The entire working poor class is making less money by
working than they could by going on the gov dole, yet most continue to
choose working, rather than ask the gov for help.
You're a representative of the rich, Aaron, folks who don't give a
damn about anyone else, that's very clear.

well it doesnt. you cant. (: but youre not getting it for free.
you're making use of energy that was already expended (original
development) and then adding additional energy by discovering
(education, training, researching, lucky browsing) the algorithm,
identifying it, evaluating it, selecting it, typing it in or
downloading it, etc. You've spent energy to get that solution. You
didn't get it for free.

Let's see. Mr. Kulkis has called the Kennedy and Rockefeller

that Mr. Kulkis would howl "CLASS ENVY!!!!!"

Grow up. There are good reasons for richer people to pay more in
absolute amounts, even if not in relative amounts; one need not support
soak-the-rich taxation to support that principle. And I'm *not* a fan of
soak-the-rich taxation. For instance, such people have more that has to be
protected by the government, and I mean protected with both force and
legal recognition.
And if I got fabulously filthy rich, I would not begrudge paying
more in absolute amounts than most other people.
>The only thing that is ethical is a "head tax" That is, your

So says the Leona Helmsley Brigade, which include those who are
more than happy to see the Kennedys and the Rockefellers pay very little
in taxes compared to the rest of the population.
And Margaret Thatcher tried levying such a tax in Britain, and
look where that got her.
>This puts an IMMEDIATE end to the constant gaming of the system

Including military pork, a kind of pork that Mr. Kulkis finds

ROTFL. A millionaire has much more in assets to protect than a
grad student, so uses much more in government resources, even if only
indirectly.
>Cutting back public services means: cutting back on the kinds of
>things that people should ALREADY be paying for themselves.
Does that include military and police protection, by any chance?
And running the court system?
And does this mean that insurance companies and health-care-plan
companies have no right to exist?

If such mooching is so great, why not do it yourself, Mr. Kulkis?
It would give you LOTS of time to study so that you can become a *much*
better Unix sysadmin and do *much* more research into Communist conspiracies.
>> because the poor kids would not receive health care or a decent education ( if

>Does the concept of private charity and scholarships elude you?
However, a society built according to Mr. Kulkis's ideals would
not have *ANY* of those, because he opposes *anything* that might be
considered a handout. I don't see him bragging about how much of his
income he gives away; I've yet to see much evidence of an Aaron Kulkis
Scholarship Fund. There isn't a Loren Petrich one either, I will concede,
but that's because I don't have enough money to create one.

Is it? IBM seems to be saying it is on 32 4 CPU machines. Of course,
they may be wrong - care to come up with a link?

Could you perhaps show any kind of link to support this claim? There
doesn't seem to be any other Netfinity 8500R c/s benchmark listed.

Which makes one wonder about the status of fencing stolen goods,
since it is a form of capitalism that depends on theft.
And Napster and similar software have been dependent on massive
copyright violations; without such violations, they would have a *much*
smaller userbase. If one does not believe in intellectual property
rights, Napster is 100% legitimate. However, if one does...
