I think it is MSDOS, but that should be handled automatically. Just do:mkdir
/milo
mount /dev/sda2 /milo
ls /milo
If it gives you grief about an unrecognized file system when you try to mount it,
than your kernel probably doesn't have support for MSDOS, or FAT, or whatever file
system it is. :-(
Note: I just tried mounting and reading my milo floppy and it didn't work. So if
you don't see linload.exe and milo when you ls /milo, you'll need to copy them in
from somewhere else, e.g. ftp://gatekeeper.dec.com/ . (Though from below, it
sounds like you may not need to do this.)

Alpha most certainly can use modules. I use them all the time- especially for
sound.

Cool! Does it also work when you cycle power? (I.e. did you just type
"reboot" to get here? If so, milo may still be around, so you're not testing
whether it will boot into milo from scratch.)

Yeah, that's just Adam's invention to check up on things. (Found out later that
others do it too. :-) Sorry I wasted your time looking for it.

Okay, then I don't know what I'm talking about. :-) If it worked, cool.

Can't answer that. But if the recompiled kernel changed, a lot of things might
have changed with it...

No problem. BTW, [EMAIL PROTECTED] generally has a lot more traffic than
[EMAIL PROTECTED] . There are much smarter people than I there, and
you can probably get a faster answer in the future. (I subscribe to both and
filter them to the same folder.)
