Not to use this list to advertise, but...
I passed along to Christoph a contact within Compaq for
doing Linux Based Beowulf clusters. The Compaq CustomSystems
group puts entire solutions together or does custom parts of
a solution. We have been part of other Alpha Clusters already
fielded or proposed. The biggest being CPlant. We also have a good
working
relationship with Myricom. We are not limited to Alpha for
people who want an X86 based solution as well.
As has already been said in this chain of email, each processor
has its fit with clusters and depending on the problem you wish
to solve, a processor family may be a good fit or not. Realize that
CPU benefits are only a part of the entire picture.
