I have had no trouble using Slackware 3.5 to support a variety of
network clients. My web clients include netscape, lynx, and mosaic. Many have
reported ease of using linux to support a variety of servers.

I don't believe that Linux can act as net server for a Novell network
since many of the algorithms are proprietary. I believe Linux can perform as a
network client since I think an ipx driver is available for optional inclusion
in your kernel.

                                                Hopefully helpful,
