John, I have Linux on my brain-dead 486 laptop which has 4 meg ram and 100
meg hd. The secret is to load slackware and after you have the 2 floppy's
made boot and root, login and MAKE A SWAP partition AND MAKE IT ACTIVE.
With only 65 meg to work with make swap 25 meg. You can get the A set and
maybe the AP floppys loaded. Not a lot but it will be fun.

My machine has the compiler and cross compilers. Those may not fit
on yours.
