A C/C++ IDE

Is there a FREE IDE (Intergrated Development Enviroment) for Linux. I got KAI,
but have run out of the 90 days, and as a student can not pay to buy it (we
have all been here before) I used Borland 4.5/5.0 on NT for about a year and
really like it. I just need something to work from, with sentext highlighting
(this would be great) and maybe a with a built in frontend for gcc/g++
