I succeeded in  getting the kernel patch in and even get boot
messages about my pnpcards but programs cannot use them and when I type pnpset-d -l ,  I getno cards listed?
I used the 2.030 kernel to patch with  linux plug and play driver . I tried the 2.2.... kernels, butdidn't get the xconfig menu to offer me the option of autoconfiguring
pnp cards, just adding pnp to the kernel.
I have a cs4232  audio card (built-in on mboard) that will config with
audio section options in the kernel,  and a joystick-midi interface that
is with it but won't configure. Also have a pnp modem made by rockwell
that can be configured by configuration manager, but not by pnp tools?
I've been looking for the configuration manager patch but haven't
had any luck, I have a bootdisk with it compiled inbut I've lost the
package it came with so I can't patch the 2.2 kernel .
If anyone can tell me how to setup the pnp cards that  are said to be
there when the 2.030 kernel with the patch boots up( 5 devices)
 here's the pnp part of dmesg;
    PnP-Linux support version 0.3 by Tom Lees <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
Searching for PnP-ISA devices...
Found card  'Rockwell V.34 Plug  &  Play Modem'
    Found card  'Crystal Audio'
5  PnP devices registered.
Currently I use the bootdsk to bootup, but would like to put that boot
image on the hard drive but don't know how to copy it since it won't
mount, just boots.
If anyone can tell me how to copy the boot image and or tell me how to
make the 2.2 kernels setup the pnp cards, or help find the configuration
manager patch I would greatly appreciate it.

THANKS
