Usually rpm's are installed with a simple 'rpm' command.
Try 'rpm -ivh "filename"' (without the quotes).  That should put everything
where it needs to go.

tgz files are a bit different.  go to a 'temp' directory, such as /tmp,
execute the command 'tar -xvzf "filename"' ( again, without the quotes)
and then cd to the directory that will get created, probably kmp
something..., and there should be a file that is called README or INSTALL,
take a look at that for installation instructions.
