Oh!  A clue!  Please tell me, which packages did you upgrade?

I have not been able to completely eliminate the problem, but the following
steps have helped:

- After the crash, restart Netscape, open the mailer, then exit Netscape
without retrieving any messages.  Next time, it usually does not crash.

- Change preferences to open both Navigator and Messenger Mailbox upon
startup.  Almost never crashes if you do this.

- Turn off "View -> View Attachments Inline"
