Hi,
I'm trying to install ArmLinux onto my RISC-PC and I'm having problems.
I have three partitions set up on the target drive (IDEFS) Swap and two
Linux Native for the system and home/usr partition. I can run the loader
and I get as far as it trying to find the RPM's but it fails to mount an
ADFS drive that I have the RPM's on, getting the message from one of the
terminal screens
ADFS zone size 4064, ID's per zone 203, map address D6140, size 217 sectors
ADFS sector size 512, map bit size 1024, share size 512
ADFS-fs error (device 03:01): adfs_checkmap: crosscheck !=0xff
ADFS-fs error (device 03:01) map corrupted
The only thing I can think of is that it is an F+ fornatted ADFS disc, does
this make any difference? I did this to allow long filenames for the RPM
names.
One other point. Is there any way to stop it looking for hdb (which I don't
have) during booting. It waits for 30secs or so, not an interminable time,
but after trying to boot it many times, this wait is annoying.
Also, the mail list comes up with individual names of senders as the
source, rather than the list. Is this right, or have I something wrong
here?
Thanks in advance for help.
Richard
