It's different because it's better :-) 
I have to say I don't think I have ever met anyone before who wanted to go
back to RedHat after using Debian, especially when the choice (on the rpc)
also involves aout vs elf, but of course it is your choice (and this is not
the place for an argument on the subject :-).

Anyway, so far as I know no-one is working on updating the RedHat stuff apart
from Russell doing bits and pieces essentially for his own purposes.

I am intending to do a new release of Aleph ARMLinux for RiscPC in the next
couple of months, to bring it up to date with Debian 2.2r3. This should have
a few more device drivers and most of the glaring bugs fixed (X-double
height, apt-get and update-menus brokenness, most supported devices actually
covered in the installer etc). At some point I'll try a Woody CD set for
RiscPC and see what works and what doesn't....
