Hi,
Does anyone know how I can give admin status to a user. I have made an
account called 'administrator' and set the primary group as root.
Does this give the user admin status? Is it possible for user
'administrator' to shutdown the Linux box via a telnet connection?
The other thing I have found is that even on the ARMLinux box itself when I
log in as 'administrator' it does'nt let me do a shutdown command. Is it only
root that can do this? I have heard that once you have got your system up and
running you should log back in as root.
BTW - A strange thing here ... I can log in as administrator on the ARMLinux
box itself but can'nt log in as administrator when I try it via a telnet
connection (rlogin or telnet).
If any one can help me then thanks in advance,
Regards,
